Meeting needs, one program at a time
Welcome to Demola Okeowo Foundation (“DOF”) where our focus is principally on the welfare and wellbeing of the most vulnerable people of our dear State – Ogun State of Nigeria. DOF is committed to addressing poverty and hunger from four main standpoints – Livelihood (which focuses among others on food and clothing banks for deserving Ogun citizens) | Education (which focuses among others on scholarships and grants to deserving Ogun citizens) | Health | and Human Rights.
The significance of the objectives of DOF cannot be overemphasized. Hunger and poverty are one of the major problems confronting the human race. To address these problems and other global afflictions, the United Nations in 2015 adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (“SDG”) making eradication of poverty the number one goal and zero hunger the number two goal. This ranking underscores the priority given to these global issues by the United Nations. In addition, Good Health and Well-Being is the third SDG while Quality Education sits comfortably as the fourth goal. DOF will also engage in rigorous advocacy and litigation on human rights matters. We strive to provide human rights representation to deserving Ogun citizens on a pro bono basis. Our volunteer lawyers are ready and are some of the best human rights advocates and litigators around.
DOF aims to combat poverty and hunger among the good people of Ogun State, relies on private and public support in the generation of resources to execute its mandates, and believes that service to humanity is the greatest form of service.
